Sophie + Brandon: Engagement Photos

About a month ago, Sophie sent me a message, asking me if I shoot weddings. The truth is — no. I have only ever photographed one wedding for a close friend, and it was a very small, intimate, family-only wedding over a decade ago. I told her that it was very important she know I am not an experienced wedding photographer. Everything I know about weddings is from planning my own, almost 14 years ago, and all the ones I’ve attended as a guest! But I adore Sophie’s family — I got to take her twin sisters’ senior photos a few years ago, and her parents are wonderful friends of ours. So I met up with Sophie and Brandon to do an engagement shoot at Lake Macbride. We had such a fun time — we laughed a lot, and they were so much fun to work with. I love how these turned out!
