What an incredible experience for Brecken and the entire cast of Winnie the Pooh! If you are someone searching for hope and light right now, look no further than the places where people are creating magic together through art. It was so inspiring to watch a cast of thirty 7-11 year olds persevere, commit, and dig deep into their imaginations to tell a story together. Watching my own kid transform as he rose to meet this challenge, and learning so many valuable lessons along the way, was beautiful. Every time he embarks on a new adventure in a new show, his world view expands. He develops as a leader, a collaborator, and a problem solver. His empathy multiplies, and his self-confidence grows. The performing arts are where the good work is happening, friends. AI can’t do this. Live performance, and everything that comes together to make it happen, is our saving grace in a society grappling with truth, power, and humanity. I am endlessly grateful for the arts educators in our community who make these opportunities available to our kids. Brecken and our family walk away from each show with wonderful memories and fresh perspectives. Sad this particular adventure has come to an end, but so very excited to see what comes next!
