Halloween 2025

I have come to the realization that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. This has caught me by surprise, because once I got past the thrill of Halloween as a kid, I was pretty “meh” on it. Having a kid of my own completely changed that, and while it was really fun to come up with costumes for Brecken was he was really little, it’s even more fun now that he’s old enough to come up with costumes on his own. I can’t think of a Halloween costume for this kid that more perfectly encapsulates his personality than this one. Life with him is a constant dance party and rock and roll concert. He has boundless energy, and if he’s not singing at the top of his lungs, he’s obsessively drumming on his practice pad.

We had a fun Halloween party with friends this year, and I even upgraded Brecken’s friend’s costume to turn her green in true Elphaba style.
